Hi Justine “J lin”, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
When I first started Keys2Bliss, it began as a simple expression of gratitude. Having recently lost a parent, my clients in the beauty industry became my family and support system, showering me with unconditional love during a challenging Cinderella story battle. In the early stages of my healing journey, I wanted to convey my appreciation to them, and that’s when the Keys2Bliss charm made its first appearance.
I gifted each client a charm consisting of a key and a meaningful quote. Seven years later, we have well over 10,000 keys scattered across the globe, crafted to be discovered or shared. My aim was for people to feel loved, special, seen, and, above all, magical when their Keys2Bliss charm found them. To extend the love that my clients generously gave me when I needed it the most to the entire world.
Keys2Bliss serves as a friendly reminder that we possess an immense amount of power within us, ready to be unlocked.
After this incredible journey of spreading our charms and infusing magic into people’s lives, we are thrilled to announce a shift towards making a more significant impact. This year, we were able to sponsor an event in the Philippines, providing food, supplies, and funds for children. This is just the beginning; our next mission is to supply the local hospital in my family’s hometown with the medical supplies they lack. Recently, we discovered that this hospital doesn’t have a proper defibrillator device—a crucial tool for heart health that can save the lives of hundreds, if not thousands, in this area of the Philippines.
We are enthusiastic about continuing to contribute positive and productive energy, utilizing Keys2Bliss to bridge the gap between magic and service to others.
Justine “J lin”, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Lifestyle Management with Beauty, Mind, and Soul Coaching: It took me quite some time to figure out how to organize my skills into a professional title. I have always been in the industry of serving others, whether that involves putting energy into Keys2Bliss, engaging in spiritual work, providing beauty services, or assisting in managing someone’s life and business. I’ve consistently been someone who helps remind people of their beauty and empowers them with assistance.
Earning a living by reminding people of their amazing qualities, witnessing the sparkle in their eyes when they see their new look, experiencing their astonishment during spiritual work, or simply aiding them in building better systems for their businesses – if our values align, I am the perfect cheerleader to have on your team.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I recently received a call in the middle of the night from my older brother. During the call, he shared news he received from our local hospital in our hometown in the Philippines, revealing a lack of a device that could save hundreds of lives due to inadequate funding. We lost our dad due to a lack of resources, and we would have lost our mom if it weren’t for this same device. The idea of a hospital lacking proper devices is, to say the least, triggering for my family and me.
My brother moved to the Philippines this past year, taking along with him three of my nieces and nephews. I was saddened when they left, but when I received that call from him, I realized that this is one of the many purposes for which he was there: to help me grow Keys2Bliss in a way I never imagined. Having boots on the ground in the country that shaped us gives us a real chance to give back to our community. While $1 can only go so far in the states, in a place like the Philippines, the number of people we can assist is truly remarkable.
My goal is to show the world that there is a breakdown before a breakthrough. For me, healing from losing a parent or almost losing a parent can transmute into something magical, like beautiful charms that remind you of your strength or medical supplies that can prevent someone else from losing someone they love.
We are currently in the transition of becoming a nonprofit because we want to provide you with the opportunity to help us help you and, in turn, help others. Our aim is to make this experience feel fun, magical, and, most importantly, productive.
Have you ever had to pivot?
The design of the Keys2Bliss charms was intended for them to be discovered or given. However, in 2020, amid a time when people were avoiding physical contact with random items, we made the decision to temporarily halt the distribution of the charms. The concern was that it would be less likely for someone to pick up a random charm during that period.
During this hiatus from the charm aspect of Keys2Bliss, I took the opportunity to delve into a healthier break and transformed the concept from a mere key to an actual vibe. This involved exploring video creation and infusing inspiration through various content mediums. As we continue to navigate this transition, we are genuinely enthusiastic about the possibilities for motivation and inspiration that Keys2Bliss can bring.
Although this pivot wasn’t initially planned, it has proven to be a blessing in disguise, allowing us to evolve and explore new avenues for spreading positivity and encouragement.
