We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tiana Glover. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tiana below.
Tiana, appreciate you joining us today. Looking back at internships and apprenticeships can be interesting, because there is so much variety in people’s experiences – and often those experiences inform our own leadership style. Do you have an interesting story from that stage of your career that you can share with us?
I’ve had numerous mentors over the years as an avid knowledge seeker. However, my favorite and longest mentor to this day has made the most impact in my career. He has been my mentor since 2010 back in high school when I was just interested in learning more about graphic design. That shadow experience turned into what sparked my love for the creative industry. His educational insight and hands-on experience allowed me to soak so much up early on within my skillset. The influence and wisdom that was shared within this opportunity has stayed with throughout my career and ultimately why I fell in love with design. This internship gave me the confidence in knowing how and why I should do certain things when designing and allowed me to be hands-on with my out-of-the-box creative concepts.
I must say this long-standing relationship expounded to my college internship with his agency that gave me better understanding of how design processes work. Years later he trusts me enough to hire me for his other business ventures. I’m beyond grateful for his mentorship for over 10 years.
Tiana, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Most know me as TG The Mogul in the creative industry and for over 10 years I’ve been known as the one-stop shop for all your design services. I’ve since transitioned from just design into an offering photography, web design and brand management services too.
What sets my skillset apart from others is my creative eye and high-level of creativity that assists many high-profile clients from Charity Luvs, Da Brat, Whitney Austin, The Nail Doctor, and many more.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Within my market I am certain my client relationships and the trust I uphold within each one makes the biggest difference. Clients want to feel as if you keep up with them and that you actually care. Being presence and meaning what I say has held my reputation together alongside of my expertise that mirrors the service I provide.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The only goal that drives my creative journey is the dedication to operate at my best to complete the assignments and purposes that God has called me to. I want to be able to enter into Heaven and hear— “Well done, My good and faithful servant.”!
