We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kelly a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kelly , thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
I would say the biggest risk so far has been starting this business. My background in management and leading a team definitely played a part in wanting my own small business one day. I was 7 years in at a company when I realized I needed a change and soon. At the time I was planning my own wedding and searching for a bar service & I came across the mobile bar industry, I immediately knew that I needed to take the risk and embark on this mobile bar journey. My husband was immediately on board and we started looking for a vintage horse trailer to convert into a mobile bar for events. I also have event planning experience and in the past its brought me so much joy so I knew this was the change I needed. In our search we came across a 1970 horse trailer which we named Winston, gutted the trailer and began rebuilding. Part of taking this risk was knowing we had no idea how to build an inside of a trailer BUT we did it with the help of family and friends! Soon after that we launched and its been a wonderful journey with lots of sweat, tears and beers.
Fast forward three years and here we are with our newest mobile bar, an imported Tap Truck which is the highlight at every event. Since we got Olivia, our tap truck we have since added other event rentals to our business. We added another tap bar and the cutest snack station …. a mini pancake bar. Our mini pancake bar is also a hit at every event. Super unique and delicious mini pancakes made to order with all the toppings ofocurse.
I would say taking this risk definitely came with its hard moments and till this day its not all a breeze but it was definitely worth it!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
We have been in the mobile bar industry for 3 years now and we got into this industry planning our very own wedding. We are a husband and wife team and trying to solve our own problem in search of a bar service we decided to start our own. Pouring Grace and Bubbles offers specialty bar services for events. We offer a very fun and unique tap truck or as others call her a “drink cart” along with our stationary tap bar and our newest add on our Mini Pancake Bar.
If you are planning a wedding, birthday, corporate event or even just a get together and need an experienced and unique bar option or snack bar we got you covered! We definitely wanted to bring something different to the event industry and offer services that are not as common and cookie cutter so we are very proud to be here today offering these options.
We take every event we book personal as if it was our own. We take pride in our work and our clients become our family and friends. We love what we do and we can’t wait to continue being part of such amazing events.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I would say the most effective strategy would be consistency. Especially now when we live in a time where asocial media is everything. Most of my clientele comes from posting my business on our social media account and other come from mainly referrals. The services alone we offer are very unique but because we are consistent with our great customer service and overall product we have been able to maintain a great rapport with our past clients creating a connection with them that allows them to refer us with trust.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source for new clients for us besides referrals has been social media. I would have to say that this has been tied with referral leads. We live in a time where social media has a lot of power and if marketed correctly it can reach your ideal clients. I would have to mention its hard work and again you have to stay consistent with posting about your business daily. I have to admit I get lazy at times and don’t want to post but overall it’s our leading source of new clients at the moment.
