In the face of the challenges posed by autism and ADHD, art became my sanctuary. Drawing and painting served as anchors, providing solace during the storms of change.
Turning challenges into gifts is no small feat. This journey taught me the art of adaptability, acute observation, and the beauty of embracing differences. The thread of awkwardness woven into my identity became a guiding light, inspiring me to create unique sanctuaries where everyone could feel accepted and understood.
The adventure seamlessly continued into a lifelong pursuit of knowledge in art, healing, and metaphysics. My story. With a lineage of healers in my blood, I delved into holistic practices, mastering over a dozen modalities. My private practice in the Hollywood Hills evolved into a haven, giving birth to Goddess Code Academy—a mystical school for the divine feminine. The Academy is still active, driven by my lifelong passion to embody Divine Feminine Archetypes. We recently published books on the Goddess, such as “Pillars of Light: Stories of Goddess Activations” and “Stories of the Goddess: Divine Feminine Frequency Keepers.” I aimed to amplify women’s voices and experiences in these collaborative books. In my work at the Academy, I’ve heard hundreds of stories from all walks of life that share intense experiences, similarities, and important patterns to bring to light. The constant oppression of the feminine voice in its truth has been frustrating, so giving a platform for these feminine voices has been a dream come true.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

The most powerful driver of new clients for Radhaa Publishing House has undeniably been the incredible force of word of mouth. It’s a testament to our clients’ authentic experiences and positive transformations. We’ve never delved into traditional advertising; our growth has organically sprouted from the heartfelt recommendations and shared successes within our community.

As a neurodivergent woman with a nomadic childhood, I’ve found that my commitment to fostering dreams and empowering global authors has become a narrative that naturally resonates through word of mouth. We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

In my journey, the resilience that defines my narrative is intricately woven into the transformative tale of my immigrant mother from the Philippines. Faced with the daunting responsibility of caring for our family after losing her father, mother, sister, and brother, she encountered adversity head-on during our life in East Palo Alto—an area marked by high crime rates and adversity.

Amidst these challenges, a poignant memory stands out—a testament to the resilience coursing through our veins. During a harrowing break-in, I found myself at home, watching an intruder attempt to breach our sanctuary. My instinctive scream resonated with such force that it sent the intruder fleeing. Though I emerged physically unscathed, a dear friend and neighbor tragically disappeared after a kidnapping, a stark reminder of the danger of life on the other side of the tracks. Witnessing this, my mother’s determination became a beacon in the darkness.

She channeled that determination into a clear vision, tirelessly honing her skills and artistry. Making every moment count and meditative practices guided her from the darkness of EPA to the light of Ashland, Oregon. She worked relentlessly as a multi-talented artist and solo entrepreneur, saving enough for a gallery across from the renowned Shakespeare Festival.

Despite being an immigrant without substantial support in America, my mother’s work ethic surpassed any I had encountered. I profoundly respect her, viewing her as a role model whose footsteps I strive to follow, aspiring to make her proud as her daughter. Being the only businesswoman of color in a town lacking diversity brought its share of challenges, yet her unwavering focus and dedication were nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Executing her plan with unparalleled determination, she embodied the belief that where there’s a will, there’s a way. Her resourcefulness extended to lessons in artistry, including the intricate craft of painting on kimonos, a skill she graciously imparted to me. The process brought my heart and soul a profound calmness as I painted alongside her. Despite initial shyness and lingering PTSD, I found confidence working in front of the store and forging new friendships. Clients worldwide were drawn to the magic woven into our artistic garments.

My mother and I transcended challenges in a harmonious fusion of devotion and artistry, becoming vessels of profound inspiration and self-empowerment. Each brushstroke, thread, and gem carried the indelible fingerprints of love and passion. From these experiences, I learned that despite adversity, there’s strength in resilience and an unwavering will to carve a path forward into the light. As the journey unfolds, I find solace in the transformative power of resilience—a legacy inherited from a mother whose unwavering determination paved the way for dreams to flourish.
