We were lucky to catch up with Tylantiss Atlas recently and have shared our conversation below.

Tylantiss , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So, let’s start with a hypothetical – what would you change about the educational system?

I have a long history of employment experience within or closely associated with the discipline of education, both as a graduate assistant and a track and field athlete. I have remained intensely driven by strengthening both students’ and educators’ experiences with school along my professional life. At this level in my academic life, this devotion is what has inspired me to work towards an advanced degree in education. I’ve always intended a variety of supervisory positions related to educational establishments, or something like employment in politics or law enforcement. My number one goal after graduation is to run for Dallas County mayor in 2027, which is hopefully the year I earn my doctorate. I think having an Ed.D. is necessary in order to be successful in such events. It will give me the understanding and competencies I need to effectively lead educational organizations.

I am so excited to use my intellect and creativity skills to make progress in the fields of education. I am going to develop enhanced methodologies for research and knowledge of analysis which is equipping me to discuss significant challenges with regard to education and recommend based on evidence alternatives. The end goal of my work is to have an advantageous influence on the learning experiences of students.

Irrespective of what their background is, I am strongly devoted to strengthening equitable educational opportunities as well as ensuring everyone will be provided with access to an excellent educational experience. My commitment to fighting for rules and regulations that lessen disparity in education will be improved no matter the circumstances. The amazing upside to receiving an advanced degree is going to offer me another opportunity to establish connections with colleagues in education, study participants, and subject matter experts. Developing these connections will be vital when undertaking projects in common developing ideas, while remaining informed about the latest innovations in education.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My main focus as an individual is to lead my community the right way simply because we lack true leadership in today’s society. Coaching and providing guidance are effective tactics for permitting integrity. Leaders have the ability to interact actively with the members of their team, presenting suggestions and support based on each person’s needs. With this tailored approach, teammates are able to identify their zones of potential and vulnerability and coincide with their occupational development with their true natures. Leaders might inspire admirers to embrace authenticity in the way they live lives by suffering from an authentic interest in their growth as individuals.

As a leader, I have experienced firsthand the developing potential of honest management and how this influences the growth of employees. A member of the group stated that, however they were uneasy to speak up in front of clients, they were hoping to carry out additional client-facing duties. I saw this as an excellent opportunity to stay to grow as individuals and as professionals, so I worked jointly extremely closely with the team members to recognize their key areas of abilities and shortcomings as well as provide particular assistance.

I want to influence a generation, not only the education system. My desire is to change society and have an influence on the world as a whole. I want to be one of the first to initiate the much-needed changes in the world, as education is the first step in that process. I was never the smartest person in the classroom, I was never the fastest in Track & Field, but my heart has always been bigger than my body. My heart is what keeps me going and keeps me thriving for success, but most importantly it’s my belief in God. With God by my side, I will make a difference. I plan to help education in any way needed.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

The most important lesson I’ve learned in business, or life in general, is that a true leader must be able to follow instructions. The majority of people, including myself, aspire to be in positions of leadership, but they have never actually received effective leadership. If you have not been led effectively, you cannot lead effectively either.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

The primary means of expanding your clientele is networking. More crucial than having capital to launch your business is networking. The majority of people are unaware that networking is the key to real success. They can introduce you to your next business partner if you know the right people. Attending networking events and putting your face out there is essential to building a successful business and acquiring clients.
