Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am Natasha Goff Timmons, the founder of NGTimmons Wellness LLC, a multi-specialty consulting platform affiliated with the renowned beauty brand, Sexee Cheveux Wigs and Extensions LLC. Our approach to client care involves a thorough assessment of hair and scalp health, leading to the creation of personalized plans for custom or ready-to-wear wigs. These wigs are eligible for insurance coverage for clients with a medical diagnosis.
Our offerings are more than just aesthetic enhancements; they provide an immediate and transformative change in appearance, granting women the freedom to explore various styles, lengths, and colors without permanent alterations. Central to our mission is the empowerment of Black and Brown women experiencing hair loss. We achieve this by partnering with licensed healthcare professionals to provide emotional support and guidance, helping clients navigate the psychological impacts of hair loss. Our holistic strategy integrates medical, psychological, and educational elements to comprehensively support women on their journey.
From a young age, I developed skills in hair extension installation, initially to assist my mother, who suffered from significant hair loss. In 2009, I obtained my cosmetology license, acquiring expertise in wig construction, among other qualifications. After establishing a prominent entity in 2022, I obtained a National Providers Registry (NPI) number the following year, facilitating insurance claims for wigs.
My personal battle with breast cancer refocused my efforts on aiding Black and Brown women dealing with hair loss due to various medical conditions, including alopecia, chemotherapy, and radiation, as well as genetic, hormonal, and environmental factors. Interacting with women who sought guidance about my experience, including those newly diagnosed with cancer or in remission, was deeply inspiring. Their inquiries and reflections on their choices, particularly regarding mastectomies, propelled me to launch NGTimmons Wellness. This venture has been a humbling experience, allowing me to connect with and support women through their unique challenges and triumphs.
How’d you meet your business partner?
My business partner is my brand strategist, marketing creator, and photographer not to mention he’s my husband so here’s how we met and how we began our journey as business partners. He and I were a blind date, we met in 2010 through mutual acquaintances our first trip together was a visit back to my hometown where we enjoyed a day at the Riverfront where we walk, talked, and took pictures. He asked me to sit on some stairs where I gazed off into the distance with an attempt to stretch my neck for a nice side angle pose. It was that picture that inspired him to start his journey in photography.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I strongly believe that effective customer service is a cornerstone for establishing a strong reputation in the market. By prioritizing customer satisfaction, I fostered positive customer experiences, which often translates into glowing recommendations and word-of-mouth advertising. This has not only enhanced my brand’s credibility but also cultivated customer loyalty. I’ve been very consistent with providing good customer service, reliability, and commitment to quality, which I believe has differentiated my brand in this competitive market. My client’s are reassured that their needs and expectations will always be met with professionalism and attentiveness. Excelling in customer service has led to a virtuous cycle of positive feedback, increased client retention, and a more favorable reputation in my industry.
