We recently connected with Genine Alexander and have shared our conversation below.

Genine, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I was often told that I was a star since a very early age. My family always told me I would be someone special in this world, and that I have a lot to offer. I never knew what they meant by that when I was a child, but now I know. When I was younger, I would participate in talent shows and different contests around LA with my sisters. People would always tell me I would be in the entertainment world because my voice was magical and needed to be heard. No matter where I landed, I knew at a young age I would be the one out the family to follow my dreams.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Genine, and I am the founder and host of the Gvibez Podcast. On my podcast, I bring in special guests, and we talk about life lessons, social issues, as well as growth and relationship topics. New episodes are released every week on all streaming platforms. I am also a media host, and content creator.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is knowing that even if one idea doesn’t work, you can keep creating until it’s exactly what you want it to be. You’re in control of your own destiny and have the freedom to express yourself in whatever way you see fit.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My journey is to feed the community with knowledge, understanding and wisdom of what I have learned while growing in this business. Allowing others to see me at the beginning of my journey, and continue to follow my story can help someone see that they can do whatever they want in life too. This keeps me motivated to keep going. My platform was built on inspiring others and that is why I created Gvibez Presents….The Networking Experience. The Networking Experience allows me to interview different panelist who speak to the community about growth, entrepreneurship and self discovery. I believe we all need motivation and this annual networking event helps encourage people to keep going with their own individual journeys. I truly want people to know they are great, and God gave us all something special to offer in this world.
