We recently connected with Jasanne Jane Oropel and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jasanne Jane thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
I’m Jasanne Oropel. I’m a sales consultant in the health industry, and on the side I model and create content as an influencer. As a child growing up I used to be that shy girl in school. I would’ve never imagined becoming a model or an influencer. The day my dad had passed away was a life turning moment for me. My dad used to teach me boxing, but was not very good at it… when he had passed I refused to continue the sport because it left me with painful memories. As months passed, I decided to train again because boxing was a memory I had shared with my dad. It all started in a UFC Boxing Gym where I was used as a promo model. The dedication I put in the gym resulted in new opportunities that led me to become a promo model for that UFC Gym. I started using my social media accounts by posting stories of my fitness progress. During those times I lost some of my close friends; I was judged and called weird because I posted selfie stories… the negative comments never phased me. I never gave up on posting selfies and content because I had random followers messaging me I inspired them to workout. It was so touching and heart warming that I can inspire strangers all over the world. The more I continued my social media appearance the more brands I’ve landed contacts from fitness to fashion to lifestyle! I wanted to share my story for others to remember to never give up on themselves and to get out of their comfort zones. You’ll have doubters, you’ll have fears, you’ll have harsh criticism from others but you’ll be surprised where it all can take you… if you keep showing up and take things in full force. If I had stopped making content due to harsh judgements, I would have not been able to land paid opportunities with well known brands.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
Staying Persistent.
