Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Zoë Green. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Zoë, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
Coming up with the name Brows By Zoe for my business was actually incredibly easy for me. When you see a simple business name or think of one that is very straight to the point it’s usually always going to be very easy for people to remember it.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Let me start by introducing myself, My name is Zoë Green. I am an Esthetician and the Owner of Brows By Zoe in Los Angeles, CA where I specialize in shaping natural eyebrows with wax. I started my journey in the brow industry in 2013 after I landed my first job as an Esthetician at the Benefit Brow Bar in my hometown of Sacramento, CA.
About 4 years later I made my way to LA to chase my dreams of gaining more knowledge in the industry and attaining a bigger clientele. I am forever grateful for my clients and their constant support my business wouldn’t be anything without them.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Absolutely hands down word of mouth!! This has been the most effective source because most people will always trust their family or friends referral more than anything.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
I actually started my business with only a few thousand dollars that i had saved up at the time. Handling the legal stuff I recommend doing first always but starting small just worked for me, I was able to provide a clean space for my clients and when the profits started to come in I was able to do the upgrades.
