Jaron , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.

Everyone says they want to be millionaire but I believe in order to become one you have to get out your comfort zone. Leaving home and getting away from everything I was accustomed to was a sacrifice I felt was necessary to succeed.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Robyn Shannon and Travaughn Barber are two good friends of mine twho put me in touch with a guy by the name of Darnell Hood. Darnell hired me as a Product Assistant to work on a Jamie Foxx project. Before I knew it I was networking with a variety of directors and producers. I saw an opportunity to put my face out there and jumped on it immediately. I learned that in this business you can’t be shy because you never know who you’re talking to.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

I have done almost every job you can think of .. I’ve worked as a janitor,I worked at sonic ,I’ve been a substitute teacher for middle and high school, and not to mention I’ve been homeless before also …one thing I can tell you is that you never know what life will bring one minute you homeless, next minute you working on a movie with Datauri Turner

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I’ve learned that when you’re chasing a dream it’s a long, grueling road. It’s important to separate yourself from any and all distractions. Distractions can come in the form of family, friends and even a significant other. I know this better than most so it’s imperative that no matter what I have to lock in.
