We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Adrian Boysel. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Adrian below.
Alright, Adrian thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The short version is, i’m a lifelong artist that ended up homeless due to a broken home and ended up becoming a self taught graphic designer that opened up my first retail design and print studio at 19 years old. I went from zero to 3000 clients in less than 3 years and sold that business in 2011 to a direct mail company. I then started doing freelance work and consulting in the home services industry. I helped my first client scale their business from $800k/year to $22 million in 2 years with the help of my mentor Lary, he was also the one to help me with my first business. Giving me a laptop when I broke mine and always being a strong role model for me. I then opened up my agency in 2015 and began to learn the challenges that come with that, I am still running an agency today but it looks very different now than it did 8 years ago. We generate 7 figures per year and only work with companies that have a $5k/mo budget or more, we also only offer three packages, Consulting, Organic Marketing, and Paid Marketing. As a way to give back I’ve created a mentorship platform for creatives called the Instagraphics Pro Network and I’ve been growing that community for 3 years and have done 3 incredible online events, we are almost at 1000 members. I generate my clients and mentees of my community through content marketing on youTube and LinkedIn. My biggest following is YouTube, I’ve got almost 20,000 subscribers on just one channel and because of my channel it has opened up countless opportunities like consulting, speaking, brand deals with companies like BenQ. The biggest opportunity so far has been becoming a faculty member and content creator for DigitalMarketer.com, one of the biggest digital marketing training programs in the world. My mission is to help at-risk youth and in the process restore broken families. My first big goal is to donate 1,000,000 million computers to those at risk that don’t have a mentor or someone to support them like I did.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got into the industry because I have a natural talent for art and design, I taught my self photoshop, and illustrator. Through the process of what I like to call “SkillStacking”. I’ve taught myself how to do signs, vehicle wraps, seo, google advertising, facebook ads, twitter ads, YouTube marketing, linkedin marketing, social media marketing, content creation, marketing planning, business planning, video editing, and countless other soft skills and hard skills. I host live in person and online events, I bring entrepreneurs clarity on their purpose, I help them develop a unique and memorable brand identity and then develop a proven marketing plan that will generate them trackable roi. I’m different because I don’t just throw Ideas at the wall and hope they stick, I use proven scientific marketing strategies that are time tested. One of the biggest things that sets me apart is not my talent but my work ethic and enthusiasm for people. I love people the most, and wake up everyday to help as many people as possible. That is why I love speaking so much because it gives me an opportunity to help a lot of people at once. I am most proud of the Humanitarian award I won at Disney World in 2021 and the thousands of people I’ve been able to impact over the last 17 years of my career. I feel like I’m just getting started, I can’t imagine where I will be in another decade. I think the thing I want everyone to know is you are your biggest opposition and that you are capable of anything if you are obsessed with getting it, there is nothing that you have done that disqualifies you from living your best life. If I can get to where I am today, ANYONE can do it. Also It’s important to mention that investing into yourself by reading, paying to join mastermind groups, and training programs will always give you the greatest return on investment.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I’ve had countless tragedies and setbacks over the course of my life. From watching my grandfather die in front of me at 4 years old, to being abused by my parents, to being homeless, going to jail at 19, having my children kidnapped, I know what it’s like to have debilitating opposition, but no matter the challenge I’ve always risen to become a better, strong, and more confident me. The goal is to go through the suffering and be proud of myself when the storm is over.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My highest value is freedom and when I started I just wanted to make enough money to get by and not have to work for anyone else ever again. I have had 2 jobs over the course of those 17 years that last less than 6 months combined, I’ve realized that I was just not created to work a job and build someone else’s vision. God gave me a vision I’m supposed to build for the Kindgom.
