We were lucky to catch up with Cameron Rowan recently and have shared our conversation below.
Cameron , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
When I first moved to Colorado, I did not know what I was going to do. I was expecting myself to still teach private music but I did not know what else to do in the mean time. Building a music studio takes a while so I needed to couple teaching with something else. I was out running errands and I came upon a local crystal shop in Denver called For Heaven’s Sake. I applied for a job as a sales clerk because I wanted to learn more about crystals and different metaphysical opportunities. While I was there, I learned about sound healing. With my background in music, I thought that would be something up my alley. I picked up a book about sound healing and knew that this was the direction I need to go in. I found classes to get certified in sound healing so that I facilitate my own sound baths. During those classes, I quickly realized that I had most of the instruments already to run a sound bath. Now I run multiple sound healing events around the Denver area as well as private healing sessions.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Cameron Rowan. I’m a local sound healer, music teacher, and musician in the Denver area. I have my masters in Vocal Performance from University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee studying from various professionals in the industry. I am originally from Wisconsin and moved here in the summer of 2022. Once I was here, I found sound healing.
Sound healing uses frequencies through various instruments to realign our energy body. Some of these instruments are singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, chimes, hand pans, etc. When we realign our energy body, we can prevent some illness from coming into the body. If there are physical ailments already within the body, sound healing can aid in the healing process making a faster road to recovery. By having a calm environment, people are able to relax and release stress from their daily lives. Sound healing can also help with processing emotions that are hard to process and move forward. They also help with realigning our chakras which aid in our everyday lives.
Each and everyone of us is a frequency ebbing and flowing as we walk the planet. Some of us are at one frequency and others may be at another. When we get together with others, we might make a wonderful harmony or make a dissonant clash. Hence why we get so well with some people and not with others. But that does not mean all the time, for we also change our frequency throughout the day. When we stay at a lower frequency for long periods, there will be more obstacles in our life path. Having a sound bath or sound healing session can help with people being able to have different view points to conquer those obstacles with ease!

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
If I could go back, I would do the same profession. I connect with so many different people that are wonderful! I also provide a service that people can aid from as well as take time for themselves.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson that I had to unlearn was how I work hard. Growing up, I was always told that I needed to work hard in what ever I did. I took it a little too far and I kept getting burnt out while I was doing my job. I had to relearn what it meant for me to work hard, As well as taking time for myself so that I can be fully present with my work and people that I meet.
