Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Saint Brown. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Saint thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I grew up alone. My mother threw me out at a young age. I went through a great deal growing up which has left me with lots of mental scars. Making my music allows me to have a therapy session. I get to get it off my chest and put it out there for the world to hear and know that they might be going through something similar and they are not alone.
Whenever, I need to remind myself of my goals and where I need to be, I can always listen to the songs as a reminder and booster.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have always loved acting since high school. I went to Duke Ellington school of the Arts in Washington, DC. The music aspect came along a bit later. It started as a joke with another artist Tony Cobain. We were laughing one day in my store about the new state of rap and how far it has strayed from fundamental hip hop. We decided to make a song our of jest. I had so much fun making it that it catapulted me into making many more and currently working on an EP.
I make my music to tell one of my many life stories. I don’t do it for fame or clout. It is straight up therapy. When people reach out and tell me that my music moved them or that they can relate to it, it is a gratifying state.
I am currently a registered Nurse. I have owned my own businesses from promotion companies, bars, cell phone stores, and a travel agency. I have also worked in IT and was a manager for wireless retail chains. At some point, with my many careers, I decided to go into a field where I can give back to humanity. I feel we don’t have enough of that these days.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
When a fan tells you that your music has personally moved them. or that they let their family members hear to and they cried. If I can spark that kind of emotion, then I have created a powerful piece of art.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Well… I’m still building. lol. The advice I would give is to be genuine. Find a niche that is catchy, but unique to the individual. You can always take the “trending now” approach, but I feel it is not as genuine.
