Andrea, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

My name is Andrea DuBois and I am the woman behind “Hands By Dre and Hair Care By Dre”. I started doing hair at the age of 15 and at the time I just wanted to look fly and keep my friends and family fly as well. As time went on I realized that I have a gift but this was my calling in life. I officially started Hands By Dre in 2017.

This has always been more than just money for me, hair is my passion and my business is my purpose. Over the last 4 years I have placed so much effort, time, love and care into building my brand and building lasting relationships with my clients.

My mission is not only to specialize in hair and all hair care needs but also want to make people feel good about themselves. We all know true beauty is not only looking good on the outside but to also feel good on the inside. I can assure you with each hair style I execute and each product I sell my priority is to provide my customers with an experience that make them even more beautiful , confident, and proclaim self love.

My drive comes from a place of hurt but for that reason everything I do comes from the heart. On July 16th of 2019 I lost the most important person in my life; my grandmother. One of the last things she said to me was “Andrea do your hair stuff” and that’s exactly what I’m doing. My grandmother is my inspiration and my motivation for Hands By Dre and my expansion line Hair Care By Dre

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I honestly think being my authentic self helped me market my brand. Just being myself even though it’s a million people who do hair and have their own product line . The things I have endured helped me market myself , I told my story through doing hair and letting the people know who exactly . Andrea S, DuBois is and what I come to help with .
