Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alberto Alfaro. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alberto, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
When I began to DJ at underground clubs, and events, in the Houston area December 2010 there was very little representation of the genre that I was performing: Hard Dance Music. The opportunity to curate in a new market space was present and I was determined to be an early pioneer with our first big breakthrough in 2012.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My music journey started around 2008 when I first started getting into audio workshop programs (DAW) and DJ software such as Traktor and Virtual DJ. My first performance at a club in Houston was around November of 2010 at the now closed Orbit Room or Club Axiom as it was known in the punk rock scene of Houston. I have been active in the Houston scene since producing various headlining shows featuring international, regional, and local talent.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My goal and mission is to bring people together through the power of music. Creating inclusive communities of individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds. Passion projects are never easy to understand but easy to interpret through the actions taken.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The memories we create in those moments.
