My journey into the moving industry began with my husband’s previous experience working for another moving company. We saw an opportunity to create a business that would provide exceptional service while addressing some of the common pain points customers often face.
With that vision in mind, we took the leap and started our own moving company. It hasn’t been an easy road, but through trial and error, we have refined our processes and grown over time. We are constantly learning and evolving, striving to perfect our company and deliver the best possible experience for our customers.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A valuable lesson I had to unlearn was assuming that everyone understands the intricacies involved in moving their belongings. It’s easy to overlook the fact that many people may not have a clear idea of what it actually takes to move their items. The realization came from encountering various situations where clients underestimated the time and effort required for their specific move.
Factors such as a long driveway, a house situated on a hill, or an apartment located on the 5th floor with only one working elevator can significantly impact the duration of a move. These circumstances can create logistical challenges and add extra time to the process. For example, what might seem like a straightforward one-bedroom move could take anywhere from two to five hours, depending on the specific circumstances at hand.
Recognizing this, I have learned to communicate more effectively with clients, ensuring that they understand the potential complexities involved in their unique moving situation. By setting realistic expectations and discussing the specific details of their move, we can collaborate and plan accordingly, leading to a smoother and more efficient moving experience for all parties involved.
How’d you meet your business partner?
My wonderful business partner is my husband. .
When the idea of starting our own moving business emerged, it felt like a natural progression for both of us. We recognized that our individual strengths and abilities complemented each other perfectly, making us a great team. With his previous experience in the moving industry and my enthusiasm for business and customer service, we saw an opportunity to build something together.
Being business partners and life partners has allowed us to navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship with a deep understanding of each other’s strengths and weaknesses. We have developed effective communication skills, learned from each other’s perspectives, and supported one another through the trials and triumphs of running a business. We continue to learn from each other, leveraging our unique skills and experiences to improve and grow our businesses.
