We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Andreina Di Bonaventura a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Andreina, thanks for joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
My main goal is to create a community of strong women. Since I work in the fashion industry supporting women is my daily goal. However, making them realize we are more than what we see on the outside is something that I want to teach as much as I can. I want women to realize how powerful we are when we are comfortable with our body and when we dress powerfully not for others but for ourselves. I want to be remembered as someone who changed other’s thoughts about fashion letting them know that fashion doesn’t have to be frivolous.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am Andreina. A Venezuelan fashion blogger who emigrated five years ago to the U.S to start college here. I started blogging the first day I came here because I see how unexplored was that world in that moment. I graduated from UH with a major in advertising and a minor in fashion merchandising. I am a certified image consultant and personal shopper. That is why I’ve built a strong and huge community in my social media channels and I’ve helped +50 on this year to improve their image and the perspective they have about themselves through fashion. I work as a freelance as I said, helping women to improve their image and show them how beautiful is the fashion world when you understand how powerful is In you daily life.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
When I graduate for me the perfect world was to start working immediately in the corporate world. Not because I wanted to but because that is most people do when they graduate here in this country. Even though I tried to, something inside me was telling me that it wasn’t the right path.
I applied for many jobs and none of them accepted me even when I had a great resume. I had to start listening to my inner voice and stop paying attention to what society “told me to do” who was working for a company.
For me was scary because I was the responsible to get my own money no monthly
Salary it was just me. Going out of my comfort zone was terrified until I just did it even without knowing how to do it.
I start my company on imagen consultation and personal shopping and today after 6 month after graduating I can say I am more successful and happy than working for someone else’.
I had to put in practice what resilience was and keep trying. It wasn’t easy but it was beautiful because I grew in ways I didn’t knew I could.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
This is hard question because there is no right or wrong answer. I’ve been working on social media since 2018 and my growth has been slow but important.
To me the most important point is to understand what your audience want to see and add to that your own essence to start doing content.
You cannot copy others because that is not going to work. Also, be patience because it does take time but creativity will help a lot too.
