Zaid, appreciate you joining us today. Has Covid resulted in any major changes to your business model?
Hi everyone, We are Wish Out Loud. A family-owned and operated small business, that was established in 2017 and currently servicing Orange County. We offer all-inclusive party packages for children. We take the headache and hassle out of every busy parent and we host and manage everything from A to Z. All our customers need to do is to go online on our website and within less than 10 minutes, they can completely customize their whole next magical experience. They don’t have to deal with the kids’ costumes, their food or cake or book a character, or even deal with the take-home favors. We take care of ALL of that in one customizable package. We used to operate a brick-and-mortar venue in Aliso Viejo for 3 years and when COVID happened, we sadly had to make the hardest decision to shutdown that venue for good. But since our brand is a nationally-registered trademark, we wanted our brand to live on so we transitioned into creating the same magical experiences by hosting outdoor events, and we’ve been doing that since then.
Zaid, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
This has always been something that myself and my wife loved to do. We love putting priceless smiles on to the children’s faces by providing a memorable experience that would make them keep on telling everyone about it for a long time. As previously mentioned, and us being busy parents as well, we found out that our customers would rather talk to one person/entity to plan for their child’s event, (whether its a birthday party or a picnic gathering, etc..), and its the best solution without having to waste valuable times running around putting everything together.
Up until this moment, we pride ourselves into having 5-star only reviews across all social media platforms (such as Yelp, Google & Facebook). We also noticed that our customers would rather interact directly with the business owner, as we consider our business an “intimate” type of business where we pay attention to the smallest details that create the ultimate experience for the kids and the adults/parents as well.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
Basically we put in our lifetime savings with the help of family, into this project back then.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Besides word of mouth, we engage in a lot of community events such as visiting schools or collaborating with other small local businesses. We also had the honor and pleasure to work with a few non-profit charity establishments such as Make-A-Wish Foundation and Live Like Jojo Foundation. We also had numerous visits to CHOC Hospital where we had some popular characters visit the superhero children there. It was an unbelievable and heartwarming experience. We also work with a lot of social media influencers too to exchange services for content.
