We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jaiden Glover a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jaiden, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
Originally with Not Just Lemonade my little brother and our co-CEO Angelo Jr came up with the idea to sell lemonade. We both had just gotten out of school for the summer and we were kids looking at items online that we wanted to purchase. toys, video games, anything that we saw and took to liking we beg our parents for and they asked us both a simple question. “who would purchase these items?’ At first to us the obvious answer was the of course! Looking back at it now at the time we were immature and not in realization of the daily expenses of living comfortably as well as supporting 3 children. That question led to us brainstorming was to earn money and be able to purchase what we desired. At first the lemonade idea was going to be a summer 1 time gig, but after seeing the potential and ways we could expand into a profitable business we decided to fully send with the idea. My brother went out of town to stay with my grandmother, That led to me initially setting up in my drive way with a table, sign, and cooler with lemonade and cups. At first we only sold 5 cups at $2 each. With the support of our neighbors we sold 15 cups the next day. From there our sales continued to increase to the point where we made an Instagram account.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
When doing work and assigning roles, make sure to know everyone’s talents as well as workload capacity and what they are dealing with personally. People are not just objects they have lives and for the most work to be accomplished don’t and workers to stay happy the business must be flexible and maintainable. Bad employees equals to bad work ethic and a overall decline in the business as a whole
