Anastasia , appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Hello my name is Anastasia Barrett and I am an empowerment coach. I started in 2017 with an organization called “ WOMEN WITH AMBITION” a space for women to learn, connect and grow as entrepreneurs. A year later I went through something very traumatic, feeling defeated & powerless. It was at that moment God revealed to me there was women who was going through similar circumstances that needed a support system. He wanted me to create a platform where I can support and encourage women on their personal journeys. Women in need of encouragement, support, and reassurance; reminding them that they are not alone and that it’s ok to walk in who you truly are barring no circumstance.

So I launched SHE’s UNAPOLOGETIC in 2018 in the midst of my storm and I didn’t understand how I could do this being I was still healing myself. But as time went on I understood why God chose me for this particular assignment and that the storm was my equipping season, he was equipping me to help the women he would send to my organization. At SHE’S UNAPOLOGETIC we believe Showing up as yourself for yourself is the greatest accomplishment you will ever accomplish in life . Our mission is to change the narrative and create an atmosphere where women can genuinely feel supported and encouraged. Each woman should understand their importance and should have the courage to build in their efforts for their own progress. I am only a vessel and I thank God for giving me the the vision to do this .

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I was born in Memphis, TN raised in Jackson, TN as well but mainly Paducah, KY. I have three siblings all brothers. Growing up I always had hard-working parents. Which made me the hardworking woman I am today. I married the love of my life in 2021, and I also have a handsome, intelligent son whom I love very much. I currently reside in Murfreesboro, TN.

I specialize in empowerment and I’m known for being a light and encouragement in my community. God equipped me with a great team of powerful, God fearing women and Our goal at She’s Unapologetic is to empower all women and girls as we aim to influence and positively impact the world. Choosing to be intentional in setting high standards and reaching our full potential. Enabling women to find their inner confidence. Building an authentic space for growth, organic relationships , support , networking , and giving back to our community. We’ve hosted numerous of networking events, Hosted fundraisers to be of assistance to those in need, Mentorship speaking engagements helping young girls overcome insecurities, peer pressure, and understanding the importance of self worth. We recently hosted our first retreat in Gatlinburg,TN. Strength Of A Woman Retreat was a get away for women to embrace growth, self-love, self-care and transformation. A weekend of self-discovery and reclaiming your radiance! Website is currently under construction but will relaunch in 2024.

I am proud of my dedication and determination to always see things through even in those moments where I fall short. I chose to hold my head high and embrace all of the lessons along the way.
What sets me apart from others is the willingness to go the extra mile, self-confidence, and uniqueness in all that I do. I take pride in showing up every day and giving MY 100%.

I also partnered with YouTube, my channel is “Anastasia Barrett” I share lifestyle content and my goal for my channel is to remind my supporters the importance of finding balance in life and how doing so bring a sense of fulfillment and meaning.

I believe that God planted individual assignments over our lives and once we tap into those assignments we begin to flourish in a way that was ordained by him and cannot be stopped.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

Growing up, I’ve always had a passion for fashion it was always an opportunity for me to step out and put my mark on the world. In 2017, I also started a boutique to bring unique fashions to women. After God revealed my purpose was to empower women I parted ways with my boutique and stepped fully into empowerment coaching.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I believe the key to building your audience is being authentic and true to who you are. Just be yourself so that you can build an organic community with people who genuinely connect with you.
