Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to KLD. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi KLD, thanks for joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I’ve been into music since 11 years old. Having piano lessons as a child which developed into learning to write songs and produce instrumentals. I also learned guitar at that age too so it was easier for me to find the keys by ear. Released my first recordings at the age of 14 and been an artist ever since

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

The industry has been all i’ve known since a younger age. Started locally by engineering friends and clients in hs which later inspired me to continue into my degree from LA film school. What has always set me apart is my ear for production. Growing up was inspired by the likes of Prince, MJ , Dj Quik along with the genres of R&B / Hip-Hop as a whole. I am most proud of my capability to now craft albums and maintain the process of song creation from start to finish. One thing I would want people to understand through my story is that music keeps me alive spiritually and physically. I work with the hope of doing the same for others who listen to me. Whether they agree to like it or not, my goal is to have the audience to feel an emotion after every listen

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The ability to blaze your path in a different way than the ones before. It is a high honor to have a purpose and be told you are gifted along with it

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

One year ago before my album “Feel Szn II”, my grandfather passed away suddenly and a shift happened in my family. It caused me to see life as a gift and release all doubt from my dreams. The past two years have pushed me to the next level as a creative and a man in general so I am thankful for my loved ones and God for getting me through that moment. Music heals
