Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sophie & Francisco . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sophie & Francisco , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
To be honest it all started with the sauce. We had the habanero base and a burger just paired so well with it. We decided that we needed to share what we had, so we moved to LA and ran with it.

Sophie & Francisco , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi ! Our names are Francisco and Sophie and we are La Burg ! We are a local burger pop up , that serves a classic backyard burger all around Los Angeles. We met in San Francisco in fine dining restaurants and became fast friends. We both have been in hospitality for the majority of our lives so when we realized this may be our next step everything seemed to fall into place. We had a sauce and we knew we worked so well together so it was time to do what we do best, crack some jokes and make some burgers for anyone that will eat one. We are very proud of how quickly we feel we have been able to get this up and going but we can’t wait to see whats next. We think we have a really great burger and we want everyone who is willing to try it!

How’d you meet your business partner?
We met each other at a restaurant in San Francisco but we really think the reason that we clicked because we just got each others humor. The restaurant we were working at was very serious, demanding, and required a level of professionalism that not many restaurants possessed. What brought us together and what reminded us that we were able to work so well together was that we both were able to find humor throughout the day. Even when we were at our most stressed and in the weeds. We were able to leave work, grab a drink with our friends and joke about how Sophie spilled something on a guest or Sisco mispronounced the name of rare wine to a 12 top. After 7 years of working together we decided we the other person would probably be a good choice as a business partner.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
We hope that people see how much we love hospitality. Our previous jobs really taught us to care for our guests and go the extra mile and we hope that anyone who comes to a pop up feels that as well. We are proud of what we are making and we just want everyone to be as excited as we are. Our goal to make everyone feel welcome and like they are just one of our friends coming to hang out and eat a burger and drink a beer with us.
