We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jason Roberts and Julie Roberts a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jason Roberts and Julie Roberts, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
When we first told our friends a little over 3 years ago that we had decided to sell everything and become Fulltime RVers, they thought we had lost our minds. They thought we were broke and destitute and we had no choice but to do this. They thought we would be homeless. They were SO wrong! We were offered places to stay and help but we didn’t need anything of that. We chose to do this. We weren’t broke, destitute or preparing to be homeless. We no longer wanted to be tied down to our possessions. Things do not matter in life. Experiences do. People do. Jason and I both work remote, which gives us the ability to travel the United States. Selling and donating all of our possessions gave us the freedom to do this. Instead of spending our money on a house and utilities, we now spend money on diesel and RV site rentals. Most of the time water, electric and sewer are included in the site fees. Now we get to take our home anywhere we want to go, and create memories on the road. We have more free time, get to meet people wherever we go and have the country as our backyard!

Jason Roberts and Julie Roberts, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
After over a year of fulltime RV living, we decided to start documenting our travels to show the good and the bad so others can realize how great this lifestyle is. We created our YouTube channel and produce a video every week to share our experiences.
How did you build your audience on social media?
We built our audience over time and with consistency. We chose a day and time every week to release our videos. This helps our audience know when to expect new content. We have learned to be ourselves, no matter what. We are not professionals, we are just two people that wanted to share our story and hope to inspire others to get out of their comfort zones and find their next destination.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
There are so many resources out there to help build your social media audience. What works for us might not work from you. I look for lists of things to try and pick a few every week to test out.
