Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Vincent Dobbins. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Vincent , appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
The idea of never giving up is what drives me. With 3 patents under my belt, despite having a full-time job, I see needs in safety and security as well as needs of other businesses and try to address those. I also suffer from MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and this has complicated my life.
However, I bring on individuals who can assist with marketing and promotion as well as networking, and like with the MS, I take each day at a time and overcome each challenge as it presents itself. I
Business and life is a marathon, not a sprint and that is my overall take on all aspects of my life. I get rejected many times when I produce a new idea or invention but since I do each with forethought I keep proceeding. The MS, although I would rather live without it, has taught me to keep going no matter what the difficulties and I am known for my drive and ambition as a result.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Although I have a full-time job and other patents, in 20222 I developed a patented Anti-Intruder mobile application and I am most proud of this. I also started an entire business around it, called Dobbins Inventions as the application can assist with tracking and tracing hackers, child traffickers, and other malicious individuals.
It is an advanced version of undetectable tracking and can assist government systems, private security systems, and everyday users. I will never give up although inflation has made funding harder for me now, but I have several proposals out to the government and host the application online for private individuals. Marketing is done week in and week out.
I want everyone to benefit from the safer use of mobile devices and advanced security.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
My years of experience (actually decades) in fire safety maintenance for major firms and government entities. I have a knack for structure and problem-solving and am diligent in all methodologies I use.
It is a work ethic built into my being obviously and has helped me plow through all challenges in my life both professional and of course, physical.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I have experienced a great deal of rejection for my products, but know that they can assist others and therefore never allow this to stop me from promoting them and seeing them to fruition.
When my MS progressed a bit that it took some of my strength, I hired someone to be my front-facing individual and we not only worked well together but have become great friends.
