We recently connected with Victor Duck and have shared our conversation below.
Victor , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
My hope is to build a legacy that will outlive my life. Also, I would like for the legacy I build to generate generational income for my kids to give them a head start in their adult lives. When I’m gone, I would like to be known for my love of people and authenticity I show towards people.

Victor , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am born and raised in Greenville, SC. I have moved around quite a bit, but Greenville, SC is my home. I have 3 amazing kids that keep me young! I have a couple of businesses, but my focus at this point is my Notary Business. I believe the Notary business is good to get into for a few reasons. For one, you can create your own hours around your schedule. While creating your own schedule, you can make a decent amount of money working your business part time.
The name of my business is Duck Ink, LLC. The services we offer are, general notary work, loan signing, I-9 Documentation, courier services for documents, and affidavits.
I’m most proud of being able to help clients in a plethora of ways and in different professional fields. Also, being a Notary is all about building relationships and connecting with people on all levels. There is always an adventure a head of you Being a Notary Public!!!! Fun, Fun, and more Fun!!!

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson I had to learn was that traditional schooling doesn’t teach you the ins, outs, and fundamentals of being an entrepreneur. It’s extremely important to educate yourself by reading, going to seminars, and finding a mentor and possibly investing in that mentor to guide and propel you through your Entreprenurial journey. In business, we don’t know what we don’t know and that’s ok. But we have to be willing to learn and grow and sharpen our skills sets.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I have owned at least 5 businesses in my life and none of them reached the level of success that I desired. However, I learned different things from each venture. As an entrepreneur, you have to understand that you can never give up! It’s ok to change directions, but giving up should never be an option. The resilience of it all is to keep pushing no matter the difficulty that may come your way. Hone in on your “Why” and let that be your guiding principle.
