We recently connected with Cyndi Dinh and have shared our conversation below.
Cyndi, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Some define success as a satisfactory completion of something. Others may also defined success as gaining of wealth, fame or respect. Success means different things to different people. Personally, I measure my success through authentic relationships I have with my family, friends and community.
Cyndi, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

We are thrilled to offer a space where guests of all ages can express themselves creatively! Our greatest joy is to witness the creation of authentic relationships through each social crafting experience at The Rustic Brush. Where I am today, business-wise, stemmed from my passion to craft and create gifts. It’s been a dream to combine what I enjoy doing with the people I love. It wasn’t easy at first transitioning from being a wife to a business partner. We had to learn and understand our roles as business partners and adjust how we interact with respect to business decisions. I believe if you take the time to develop and build authentic relationships with one another, you would be able to overcome the stressful and difficult times. Strong authentic relationships take time to develop and our goal at The Rustic Brush is to provide a fun social crafting experience so families, friends and communities to strengthen their relationships.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I didn’t think I had an entrepreneurial bone in my body. In fact, my ultimate success goal was having a stable corporate 9-5 job in a corner office inside a skyscraper overlooking the busy streets of the city. Somewhere along the way, my heart desired for a craft room. So for Christmas 5 years ago, I spoke my heart’s desire out loud. A couple of months later, the universe gave me the opportunity to open a DIY studio where I can share my crafting experience with the entire community.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. I had to learn quickly how to work with my husband and create swim-lanes between us. We had to establish our roles and responsibilities, but above it all – to trust each other.
