Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
One of my most gratifying marketing success stories revolves around XSITE Capital Investment, a real estate syndication company that dared to be different. In an industry saturated with predictable video ads featuring suited professionals delivering the same financial pitch, XSITE’s founders, including the CEO—an orthopedic surgeon—offered a distinctive perspective as healthcare professionals.
Recognizing their ideal customers were also healthcare professionals, I devised a strategy to deeply connect with this audience. Most industry ads lacked a personal touch, so I proposed a bold move: have the CEO wear his white coat instead of the customary suit. This decision aimed to establish immediate trust, leveraging the inherent credibility of healthcare professionals. It was a departure from the norm, a risk in an industry accustomed to a certain formula.
The outcome? The AD became XSITE’s best-performing one, generating an outstanding 100+ new leads and surpassing $500K in revenue. This success not only highlighted the power of thinking outside the box but also underscored the importance of aligning marketing strategies with a business’s unique identity. It was a deeply rewarding experience to witness a calculated risk transform into a substantial reward, reinforcing the notion that authenticity and relatability are formidable tools in marketing.

In the face of the challenges posed by the COVID pandemic, my resilience took the form of strategic pivoting and leveraging my marketing and technology skill set to build a business that addressed the pressing needs of the time. Enter BIPP (Business Infection Prevention Partners), an initiative my partner and I launched.
BIPP was not just an online course; it was a comprehensive solution for businesses navigating the uncertainties of the pandemic. The course provided training for employees on current pandemic protocols, equipping them with the necessary tools to ensure safety for themselves and their clients. Accessible 24/7 and compatible with various devices, the course offered certification upon completion of the final assessment.
But our commitment didn’t stop there. We forged partnerships with local businesses in Marietta, offering a range of services including covid officers/managers staffing, covid testing, PPE, workspace modifications, and thermal scanning.
The impact was significant, with clients such as Cobb County Tax Commissioner Offices, Cobb County Senior Centers, Blue Skye Exhibits, Manely Law Firm, and more benefiting from our tailored solutions. This journey was a testament to adaptability, resilience, and the ability to use innovation to respond to the evolving needs of the community during challenging times.
