Aaron & Janerria, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you walk us through some of the key steps that allowed you move beyond an idea and actually launch?
During a car ride, we discussed our life goals and aspirations for our family legacy, acknowledging that our current full-time jobs were not our desired long-term careers. We reflected on our passions and sought a career that would allow us to enjoy each day without feeling like work. As a result, we came up with the idea of starting a photography and design business and quickly brainstormed potential names, logos, and objectives. Ultimately, we decided on Exposed Vision Design Studio to showcase our client’s vision for their properties, whether through photography or staging. We dedicated weeks to developing our business, establishing the necessary foundations, and conducting thorough research. Within the first month of launching our business, we successfully secured four listing sessions with various services, which allowed us to connect with realtors, builders, and investors. With these achievements, we are confident that Exposed Vision Design Studio will continue to grow and succeed.
Aaron & Janerria, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We are your simple, everyday married couple with three children. We got into the business of real estate photography as a passion project, and to honestly see if we could do it! We both knew we loved real estate, photography, and design. Put them all into place, we discovered a love for making a space look beyond phenomenal behind the screen. We saw so many properties being listed and would cringe at the sight of the camera or cell phone in the pictures! We developed our passion and hobby into a thriving business and it has seriously taken off since. We are proud to have clients who have returned for multiple properties since. Our business offers so much- listing/rental images, short-term rental/vacation images, drones, 3D virtual tours, and style consultations of your spaces. We continous nurture it and watch it grow. It is amazing!
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Funding our business was all on a hope, dream, and truly investing in ourselves! We took our tax refund and purchased a camera and lens from a family member. We purchased the basics for photography and PRAYED! The biggest investment and funding towards our business has been God.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
We have reached clients through Thumbtack mostly, but would love to grow our social media following more to increase our new clients this way. We offer a first-time client discount and will continue to build rapport with clients to entrust us with their future properties.
