We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mariana Ribó a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Mariana, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?

By practicing every day your work begins to improve and new clients arrive, new challenges, when you stop looking at the clock and counting the hours of work you will be able to make a living from it, the main thing is to love what you do.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is Mariana Ribó and my business started with the taste of painting, I dedicate myself to customizing clothing items, such as t-shirts, sweaters and jackets, I also paint canvases and murals. What sets me apart is that thanks to my paintings people can wear works of art on their clothes. I feel very happy and grateful to all the people who have trusted my work.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My goal is to promote art in young people, motivate people to work on something they really like, art is a form of expression and creative activity where you can capture or express emotions, I believe that every person should feel capable of being able to work on it and make a living from it, like painting, music, dance, etc.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

With 10dlls I bought a t-shirt and some paints, I used old brushes that I had at home and thus painted my first t-shirt, the money I earned from that sale I used to buy more material and without thinking about it it became my full-time job until the day from today
