Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Michelle Rochester . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Michelle , appreciate you joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?

The story behind how I came up with my brand, it came to life from one of my other businesses MNR Catering. A lot of my supporters/clients were interested in trying out my catering but did not have any events to book my services. I received a much of feedback and that’s when I decided to do something different. I decided to keep an event, where I offer all my menu items all in one night. How I came up with the name AYCE Gala was genius, it’s the acronyms for ALL YOU CAN EAT.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am a Mompreneur and my son is the driving force behind all I do. I got into this industry because I love to cook and I love hosting events. I combined the two together and created the AYCE Gala. The AYCE Gala offers guests the experience of having a once in a lifetime luxurious dining experience, including live entertainment with likeminded individuals. Our official hosts for the AYCE Gala are both Jalen Nelson from Lick My Fashion and TAAYLEE G, a rising Toronto Superstar. I am super honoured and proud to have them both apart of the AYCE Gala and can’t wait to see what the future holds

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?

My advice for managing a team and maintaining a high morale is to lead by example. As a leader you demonstrate the do’s and don’t’s of your brand/business. Listening is extremely powerful and it helps to listen to everyone’s concerns as they may have great solutions to help you pivot and recreate your end goal. When you operate with integrity it shows in your business.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I built my audience on social media by posting and being consistent everyday. My advice to those starting to build their social media presence, don’t be discouraged it’s all in your head. Post that content! Be consistent. Let your audience know what you’re doing and what you’re up to. Capture every moment of your business with photos and videos and post it. Engage with your audience, have CTA in your captions. Tagging other businesses in your post is another way to grow your audience.
