We were lucky to catch up with Endy Zhou recently and have shared our conversation below.
Endy, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I got the idea for our business during the early days of the pandemic, a time of a lot of uncertainty. With news of the pandemic’s possible impact, I saw a chance to deal with problems related to remote work and clean energy. The idea of a fully virtual solar team came up as I thought about the challenges ahead. This virtual approach promised to keep our team safe and make work more efficient by eliminating commuting and offering flexibility. I was excited about creating a unique solution that would protect our team and keep us productive.
Unlike normal businesses, we did not experience a dip in our operations during the pandemic. In fact, the pandemic forced homeowners to reevaluate their energy consumption habits, creating a perfect opportunity for us to launch our campaign.
Although the pandemic is over, it has changed the way people work and live. Now, people are much more open to the idea of discussing their home electricity needs virtually, and they are also more aware. As a result, our campaign continues to grow bigger.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I embarked on my journey in the business world out of necessity, driven by the desire to provide for my family after graduating from university. After university, my career began as a door-to-door salesman, and through hard work and dedication, I swiftly earned a promotion to a managerial role. Over the next few years, I led one of the most successful sales teams in my former company. What truly inspired me, however, was witnessing the individuals who had worked alongside me move on to achieve remarkable success on their own. This motivated me to take the bold step of launching my own company.
With my new venture, my goal was to replicate the success I had achieved in my previous role. Soon, we became the leading sales organization in western Canada, representing a diverse range of clients. During a trip to Los Angeles, I fell in love with the city and made the decision to live and establish an office hhere. To me, LA offers the freedom to be your true self, and I moved there with a strong sense of determination.
After working wtih several different clients, my journey in LA took an unexpected turn when I was approached by several solar companies to run their sales teams. It was in that moment that I realized I could create my own solar sales campaign. Teaming up with the best solar installation companies, I embarked on my own venture in the solar industry, offering top-tier solar solutions and sales services. What sets us apart is our commitment to excellence and our mission to provide environmentally friendly, sustainable energy solutions to our clients. I am most proud of the positive impact we’ve had on the solar industry and the progress we’ve made in promoting renewable energy. As we continue to grow, I want potential clients, followers, and fans to know that our brand is driven by a passion for making a small difference in the world, and creating environments that fosters entrepreneurship.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
After I graduated with a degree in music, life took an unexpected turn, and I found myself needing to support my family. To build connections and learn more about people, I took on a sales job, specifically door-to-door sales. As I spent time in this role, I began to see that I could do it differently and better. This realization led me to get promoted into a managerial role, where I eventually became the top-performing sales manager in the company.
What really fueled my ambition was seeing several of the managers I had worked with and promoted leaving the company to start their own businesses. Their courage and success inspired me to take a similar path. It was a natural progression, born from the experience and knowledge I had gained in sales and management. This marked the beginning of my journey to establish my own successful business.
The biggest advice I have for new entreperneurs is “Just fu*king do it”. Stop giving yourself excuses, stop wasting your potential, just do it, just do something.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I’m very straightforward and direct. Some people might say I can be intimidating, but I’d argue that they came already intimidated. This reputation has led to many positive interactions and helps me prioritize where I invest my energy. The community I’ve built around myself know that I am focused and determined to achieve my goals, and that has been tremendously beneficial and helpful to my continous growth.
