Devon, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Almost every entrepreneur we know has considered donating a portion of their revenue to an organization or cause – how did you make the decision of whether to donate? We’d love to hear the backstory if you’re open to sharing the details
Yes, 15% of all of our proceeds are donated to the YWCA. The YWCA empowers domestic violence survivors to take control of their lives, while offering them safety and the resources to ensure their self-sufficiency. We chose this organization because of our heart to help women and children who suffer from domestic violence. Our owner, Devon Dixon, suffered from domestic violence during her college years that ultimately resulted in the loss of a child. Devon has made it her mission to help other women like her, not be a statistic, but to be a survivor.

Lily & Lace is all about serving others at an affordable cost. We started our business in 2022 solely as a business who focused primarily on wedding planning and coordinating. Since we opened, we have now expanded in to more of a full-service company to be able to assist more individuals with their special day while cutting costs! Lily & Lace offers wedding & event planning services, bartending services, florals, set up/breakdown services, and rentals! In addition, When you hire Lily & Lace we do the work for you so you can enjoy your day! Our mission is to be the hands and feet of Jesus, using our talents to serve bless others. Whether you are planning a large wedding, or you are planning a small company holiday party, we are here for you!
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Consistency, honesty, and a serving heart! Our main goal isn’t to “make a sale” our goal is to truly care for others and give back. People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care. I believe that is the biggest part of why we have grown so quickly in this market.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Engaged couples or business owners! A huge part of the community we serve is newly engaged couples. Helping them plan their dream day without breaking the bank. The other largest part of the community we serve are local businesses who are hosting a special event, whether it’s their annual fundraiser, or an end of the year celebration, the company and employees deserve to have an event to remember!
