Alright, RONEKA thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Any thoughts about whether to ask friends and family to support your business. What’s okay in your view?
Well, we absolutely DO NOT ask our family and friends for any handouts. Now, what I can say is that our friends and family have been VERY SUPPORTIVE from the beginning. “The price is the price when it comes to the them!!” lol We have not had anyone to ask for any discounts or hook ups. We do have a few that try to get us to bend the rules. They don’t want to go on the app or the link to order but other than that they have no problem with paying. We actually have not had any personal problems with any family or friends that questioned our prices or our process.

RONEKA, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Roneka Turner. Some know me by Nikki McGee(CEO). I am in business with my two daughters’ N’Keiveia “Nu Nu” and Kei”ann “Ke Ke”. We are the proud business owners of “Kultured Essentials and Kultured Krack”. Kultured Essentials opened in 2020. Kultured Essentials offers food, alcoholic beverages, heaux bags, etc. Now, we have Kultured Krack, that launched in March 2022. Kultured Krack offers all of the kandied treats and more. Kultured Essentials/Kultured Krack has become a very successful business. Both businesses will be available for large events such as birthdays, weddings, parties, etc. in 2024.

How did you build your audience on social media?
We are very big on presentation. So, when we first started, I was like no we are no posting this picture. As time went on and we got better, And we started feeling ourselves and got more creative. I was like oh yea, They are going to like this. I posted the pictures and the reels and people started sharing our posts and it went from there, My advice to people beginners, its ok to mess up. But ALWAYS REMEMBER “PRESENTATION IS EVERYTHING!!!”

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I can say that I communicate well with our customers, When our customers place an order, I make sure that before payment is accepted, we go over their order to confirm everything and to make sure that they understand the whole process. The “Krack Experience” is eccentric.
