Ramona , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Almost every entrepreneur we know has considered donating a portion of their sales to an organization or cause – how did you make the decision of whether to donate? We’d love to hear the backstory if you’re open to sharing the details.
This year I collaborated with the Lise Watier Foundation based in Montreal. I created a Men’s bracelet custom designed for their annual event. These jewels were gifted to their VIP guests, hence donated for a great cause; helping and supporting women get back on financial track. I was truly proud to give back to my community and it was a first time supporting their cause and it was a true success.
There is another cause that I hold very dear to my heart which is breast cancer and I have been collaborating with the Pink in the City Foundation since 2 years. I have also created the Hope Bracelet from RM KANDY where a portion of sales is donated to their cause all throughout the year not just for the month of October which is focused on raising awareness for Breast Cancer. Each year, we come together as a community, businesses to give back to this cause and it is such an honour and treat to be a part of this and to give back to women who truly need the support.

For now, my primary focus is on my website as the central platform for RM KANDY. Building and maintaining a dedicated website has allowed me to establish a strong online presence and engage directly with my audience. It provides me with the creative freedom to showcase my jewelry and brand in a way that aligns with my vision.
One of the key advantages of having a website is that it allows me to maintain full control over the brand image, customer experience, and product presentation. This control is essential to ensure that the RM KANDY experience aligns with our commitment to quality, style, and personal connection with our customers.
I believe that trust is paramount in e-commerce. By owning and managing my website, I can provide a seamless shopping experience and maintain direct communication with my clients, which helps in building trust. Being able to stand behind the product and service is a top priority for me, and having a dedicated website allows me to ensure the highest level of quality and customer support.
In the future, as I continue to grow and scale the brand, I may consider expanding to other e-commerce platforms such as Amazon. These platforms can indeed help attract new clientele and offer additional avenues for sales. However, my current strategy is to first establish a strong foundation through my website and social media platforms. This approach allows me to refine my brand identity, grow a loyal customer base, and ensure that RM KANDY is recognized for its authenticity, individuality, and originality.
Currently, I serve both B2C (business-to-consumer) and B2B (business-to-business) clients. I’m actively engaged in partnerships with other businesses, expanding my professional network, and connecting with specific influencers to boost the brand’s recognition and enhance the reputation and trustworthiness of RM KANDY.
When the time is right and the brand has expanded to larger markets, I’ll carefully consider the pros and cons of utilizing other e-commerce platforms. Each platform has its own set of advantages and challenges, and the decision will be made in alignment with the brand’s growth goals and the need to reach a broader audience. Ultimately, the priority remains offering high-quality products and services while maintaining the trust and loyalty of our customers.
