Hi Kassandra, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Making people aware of the ingredients that they put on their bodies is the main objective behind it. offering them a cost-effective substitute for any toxic products they might come across in the stores. This is the rationale for my interest in this. Having my baby made me more concerned about my health and the products I used on my body. I tried to use my favorite store-bought wash, but it caused frequent yeast infections, and my pH was wacky. I felt so humiliated and insecure. I decided to investigate, and I discovered that the problem actually stemmed from the ingredients in this wash. To make a long story short, my own experiences inspired me to help others. I try to look for a remedy for every problem.

Kassandra, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
So at Simply Kae Inc., we offer natural skin care products. We’re mainly known for our feminine and HSV products. Many people like to consider us a one-stop shop because of how many products we have. My main goal is to create products that don’t have any hormone disruptors or cancer-causing ingredients. Simply Kae was made for people, and I say this because a lot of the products I have today were inspired or recommended by my clients or people who are around me. For example, one of my clients told me she was dealing with vaginal dryness. I made a wash that helped with vaginal dryness. This is actually one of my best sellers, now called The Moist Pumpkin Wash. Another client told me that they were dealing with HSV and asked if I could make something for it. I created a bar soap at first, and then it turned into something bigger. Now those are my most popular products. So I’m pretty much a voice for the people. I’m a listening ear. I love all my clients because of their trust in my products; if it weren’t for them, Simply Kae wouldn’t be where it is today. I also want to thank God because all of the recipes and ideas I have come from Him.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe what built a reputation for us was gaining the trust of our clients. We did this by letting them know that we’re knowledgeable in this field. I like to do videos just explaining why I don’t use certain ingredients. If I have a product, I like to show the process of making it. I break everything down and always give a solution to the problem. Consumers love to be aware, especially in a day and age where people are more health-conscious.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
I use an e-commerce website. I love this because I have the freedom to do whatever I want on my website. I don’t have to follow strict guidelines or pay for every view or click of my ad, even when it may not generate a sale. The con about this is that I’m not on a platform where I can use catch phases or tags that can draw traffic to my brand. I have to rely on my own efforts to generate appealing content to catch consumers’ attention.
