Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Priska and Bas Waijers. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Priska and Bas, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

We believe that throughout the last centuries the Sacred Feminine and with it, the Sacred Masculine, have been surpressed and with it our personal power has been stripped from us. We have lost our connection to the Sacred within us.

Only if we remember our magic, we can reclaim what has always been ours. Only if the Sacred Feminine gets back its place within society and the Sacred Masculine finds its ways again, and only if the wounding between the masculine and the feminine gets healed, we can co-create a world of more peace and harmony.

We are called to alchemize our wounds into power.

When we met in 2015 and had to overcome many obstacles in order to be together, we felt that we were guided to this work and that we were not only (re)united for our own pleasure and happiness, but for a greater mission. Ever since we have been following the bread-crumbs and have been learning and teaching what we shared above.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

We are helping men and women to remember their true power, magic, and potential through stories, guided meditations, mentorship, coaching, ceremony, etc.

Besides that we also help couples to find their way back into love and navigate the stormy waters of relationships by creating more understanding and compassion for self and the other.

Priska works individually and in groups with women, Bas does the same with men.

We are the founders of The Hieros Gamos Mystery School, in which Bas works with the men, Priska with the women, and we regularly meet, men and women united, to learn and grow with each other. We also celebrate all the holy days of the wheel of the year together.

So we have a very special blend of the old ways, and the new ones, remembering our roots, and our visions, healing the feminine and the masculine, and the wounds between the genders through old and new tools.

We are very proud of the authenticity we bring to the table. We walk our talk and don’t make empty promises. We are students and teachers at the same time and see Life as a big Mystery School.
Our path was not an easy one, but we learned how to become The Love Alchemists, to alchemize our shadows into gifts, and to marry the divine with the humble human.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

When we met, Bas was a married man, father of two kids, living in the Netherlands, while Priska was a free spirit actress/coach living in Switzerland.

We met in a Facebook group and immediately felt a connection – even if it was nothing romantical. We didn’t even think about this.

Well, after some magical things happened during a global meditation, organized within that group, and the two met in the spritual realm, things changed.

Long story short – we met and we knew that this was not just some random “meditation trick” and that we were meant to be.

Bas left his marriage, Priska her home-country, and they started a new life as a blended family. It’s probably not necessary to mention how heart-braking and challenging this whole process was. How much projection, stigmata, and anger was thrown at us, how many times we didn’t know how to go on on that journey, knowing how many people we had to hurt in order to live our truth. On top of our own triggers and pains that were popping up like popcorn within our own relationship.

It was heart-breaking in so many ways. On top of it, we were struggeling with money and Bas had a cancer-scare in this time, him being a stage 4 cancer survivor a couple of years prior.

Within all of this tumult, we started with our business and helped other people to go through tough times – because we knew that’s what we were meant to do. And we kept doing it up till this day.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

We both had to unlearn a mass of lessons and stories.

First and foremost we had to stop listening to outside voices and start trusting our truth and inutition. We both were brought up to put other people’s needs in front of our own truth – but this didn’t work for us.

We realized that lying to ourselves and others would never bring the love, peace, and fulfillment – not to ourselves or others.

The same was with the business.

When Bas got really sick in 2017 after his divorce and he had a burnout, a lot of physical pain, and a cancer scare – after surviving cancer once before, we knew that something had to change. Bas was still working as a special needs teacher with very challenging teenagers every day – being physicaly and verbally attacked being part of the job description, while Priska already was running her own online business in Female Empowerment.

We decided in that challenging time of Bas’ sickness to make our “hobby” our business. Priska promised Bas that he wouldn’t have to go back to his old job and that we somehow would make it work otherwise. And we did.

So yes, trusting our own inner Truth with a capital T and following the nudges has been our way to not only live our lives but also run our business.

Which – of course – is not really what is being taught in most business coachings.

We might have made more money, if we would have followed the rules, but instead we feel that we are of full integrity towards our souls, our clients, and we are following what feels right.
