We were lucky to catch up with George Brown recently and have shared our conversation below.
George, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
The first time I choose music profession was in 2012, after my Japan cultural exchange experience.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I got into music through my 2 older brothers. We are 6 years apart. Often we would parade around the neighborhood me on bass drum and my other brother on snare drum. Coming through middle school after Hurricane Katrina i’ve evolved my craft for music by attending Roots of Music marching band, the discipline. McDonogh 15 middle school shaped my craft in a way in which to understand the universal conversation of music. Bourbon street and performing around the french quarters was the business. My inspirations derived from a long line of New Orleans greats and musicians my parents had me listening to. A few to name, Paulin Brothers, Kinfolk Brass Band, Soul Rebels, TBC Brass Band, Trombone Shorty, Big Sam of Funky Nation and more. My mission is to continue traveling, sharing my talented gifts with the world. Ive performed all over the world in countries like the United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Germany, and I want to do more. I also serves as one of the city’s cultural ambassadors to Japan. With my unique blend of R&B, Pop, Soul and Funk, Ive created a sound that is energetic, passionate and fun. His natural charisma lives for the world to see, as they say. Currently about 2 months from releasing my debut album Nov 3. My Band by the name of George Brown Band residency is at the historic Blue Nile every Saturday. Visit LilGeorge.org for more show dates and details. Ive also created a shoe brand by the name of Demiurgic that also correlate to the style of music and the way its approached.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
I wish I knew more about music release and how to build a set of original music for performance royalties.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The best rewarding aspect for me is seeing everyone happy in a free state of mind to dance like no one is watching .
