Siri, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?

Ri’s Lip Collection started as a vision back in 2017. It took a few years but in 2020, I was able to put all of my focus into my business. Starting a business take a lot of time, consistency and dedication. There is so much to learn and it’s been plenty of time I want to give up and quit but my family wouldn’t allow it. You are faced with many challenges and my biggest one was balanced with everyday life. So, when God presented the opportunity again, everything fell in place and took off because I was determined to produce a product for those who suffer from sensitive skin. Now here we are, five years later a successful online lip line company.

Siri, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

At an early age I suffer from eczema, I would breakout from the simplest product especially lip balms and lip sticks. So when the opportunity presented itself for me to start my own lip care line I took full advantage of it. I offer all natural lip balm and lipglosses made with the vegan products. I have recently expanded to lip liners, lipsticks and cosmetics bags. The fact I actually experienced and suffered the embarrassment from allergic reactions from lip products has set me apart form other companies, because I know the importance of having a product that’s made for sensitive skin.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

My primary employment and sells from pop up shops allowed me to save enough revenue to where I was able to start up online. I’ve been fortunate enough to invest into my dream and continue to put my earnings and profit from my sells back into my business. I see a brick and mortar in the near future for Ri’s Lip Collection.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I’m a giver and I stand behind my product therefore I would give away full tubes of lip gloss, lipsticks and chapstick away with every purchase. There’s also the fact my product are non sticky and they actually moisturize the lip resulting in returning customers.
