We were lucky to catch up with Kelly Galeazzi recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kelly, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright, so one thing we think people don’t talk about nearly enough is investments – either time or money. What’s one of the best or worst investments you’ve made and what did you learned from the experience?
Owning a business means sacrifice, determination, and hard work. As a business owner, you will embark in many different investments to make sure your business is up and running, successful, and staying afloat. The best investment I’ve made owning a business has definitely been online marketing. Making sure my presence is known on social media. I’ve invested in myself and have put forth everything I have to offer to the world online. Making a solid foundation for my business, showing my growing talent and passion for what I love doing, and what makes me the person I am each and everyday. I remember being in esthetician school and recording everything I was being taught, taking photos and videos everyday of the work I was doing. Always making sure I get my before and afters of all my friends after giving them facials and posting them online. ‘Til this day, I am still the same girl taking all the beauty shots of all my clients, marketing my skills online, putting this video and this video together to become one, and making sure all eyes are on my work and my business.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been sharing my work, always continuously learning new things to up my skills, staying on top of my game, and word of mouth! I have worked so hard to get to where I am today! Posting my work, being proud of how far I’ve come in the industry, & showcasing what I am truly passionate about, being skincare, and being my truest self has its effects. Passion is a strategy within itself. Learning and staying on top of everything skincare is a strategy not everyone gets the chance to see. There’s lots of behind the scenes work when it comes to growing your clientele. Word of mouth is such an amazing way to grow! They enjoyed you and the service you provided so much, they recommended you!
 
  
 
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Reputation is everything when owning a small business. You’re starting from the ground up & making your way up is never going to be easy. I believe what really helped me build my reputation was making sure I gave my all to each and every client that walked through my doors. Treating someone with care, having open ears and paying all your attention to a client when they’re in your presence & giving 110% when treating that person is such a beautiful, necessary thing. After all, they chose YOU. They could’ve gone anywhere else but they trusted YOU. They took time out of their day to come see YOU. Now it’s your turn to choose THEM.
