We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Bryant Harmon Jr. a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Bryant, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
I have always had some sort of game-plan in my head as far as how I wanted things to be done. Up to this point social media has been all on me. When it comes to the responsibility and accountability of my social media, I wanted only myself to be the single point of failure or success. In that same thought I have had an ideal timeline on when I need to let some of those responsibilities fall off my plate and I am not there yet but 60% there. I have strongly considered TikTok being the first social media avenue that I let someone else take over. I feel that any business owners looking to grow and expand should definitely consider getting a team ran social media account but only if they are in a position to do so and it makes sense for them!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a Podcaster/YouTuber originally born and raised in Milwaukee. WI. I got involved into this only a few years back. October of 2021 is when I launched my podcast and never looked back. It has been a tremendous blessing to me and the community of Colorado Springs, CO, which is like a second home to me. I have had the opportunity to meet some brilliant minds, successful entrepreneurs, realtors, musicians, MMA fighters and more to name a few. I get the opportunity to see how they think and feel on different topics and allow them to take full advantage of the platform to express themselves. I love every minute of what I do and I have learned so much from every person I’m blessed to sit across the room from. I want to use Transparent Podcast to give the community a voice and allow for change to take place by bringing joy, positive energy, and knowledge to the world.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
This is a great question! I truly believe being myself and treating everyone equal is that what has not only built my reputation as a podcaster but my reputation just as a person. I feel that of course social media and other aspects no doubt play a key role; however being a representation of my brand by being “Transparent” has allowed for my reputation to speak for itself.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Instagram is my main means on keeping in touch with guest as well as keeping not only brand loyalty but person to person loyalty. My guests are phenomenal individuals and I’m appreciative and blessed for every single one of them. Without the people I am not allowed to continue to do what I love doing. You have to earn respect and build genuine relationships with other human beings before you can expect loyalty from them. The thing I love most however is to see my guests succeed in everything they do to include doing more podcasts outside of just mine or even building their own platform. That’s what it’s all about seeing the next person succeed in everything they do. Never hate or want to see someone fail because it only makes you as a person look bad.
