Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Robert Madriaga. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, Robert thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?

My hope is that people enjoy the music we make as much as we enjoy performing it. Our main goal in this band is always have fun and perform shows that leave an impact on the audience.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Barber Floyd is a hard rock / grungish band from Fort Lauderdale Florida. We have several releases on all streaming platforms. We like to put out music that makes people’s heads nod to the rhythm or make their bodies move. Our latest EP Too Far Gone was released in April of 2023

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

This band has been making music since 2012. During this time, we have had to replace band members due to life conflicts and moving across the country. The most important thing has been finding the right members and not settling for the right now members. Discovering the right members will help your band from having a carousel of people until you find the right one. The carousel will delay and hinder creativity causing the band to be setback.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

The best resource for us to find new fans is playing different venues and cities with bands that have a good following and play within a similar genre.
