We were lucky to catch up with Tahira DeVine recently and have shared our conversation below.

Tahira, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a client that you appreciate them?

The best thing I think that I’ve done to show my clients I appreciate them is tell them that I love them every single day. I listen to them and for the last 4 Years I built my brand on that love. I reward them for their trust I have their backs 110%. Last year I sent out hand written thank you card to all my DIVAS.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

WIFE. MOTHER. DIVA® is a women’s business consulting & coaching firm. We help women START, GROW & FUND their business. We work with product and service based business to build Powerful + Profitable BRANDS. Building Brands is our Speciality . When I talk about building brands it has nothing to do with cute logos and colors , It has everything to do who who the person is and how we can transcend their morals, belief and Passion into their business. That’s the key to ensuring your business stands out from the rest.

The thing I am most proud of in My Brand is The way my DIVAS love me as much as I love them and the understand exactly how I feel about BLACK WOMEN ! I remember talking to my Brand Photographer who is one of my clients as well. I asked her was I doing too much to drive 2 hours away to make sure we had black women owned champagne at our event and she responded and said ” I expect nothing less”

WIFE. MOTHER. DIVA® is located in Philadelphia but when I tell you my DIVAS are every where! London, Africa , California, Texas, Florida, Chicago, New York. I’ve had the pleasure of coaching women from all over .

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

I started my business with less than $100 and well I sold T-shirts. In February 2019 I started my company WIFE MOTHER DIVA® and I knew I wanted a women empowerment firm but I didn’t have the funds or knowledge on how to access the funds like I do now. I purchased the materials to create my own screen print and a few t-shirts that said WIFE. MOTHER. DIVA. I used the money from selling my shirts to buy more and just kept it going. Looking back I’m so happy I started with those T-SHIRTS and heres why I would have never started. I now teach my DIVAS the same strategy START WITH WHAT YOU HAVE. Presale your product, create a digital product, teach a virtual class whatever you can to start with little to no cost. You will be surprised were momentum will take you.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

My advice for any Brand looking to build their social medic presence is to #1 be persistent ( show up even when you don’t feel like it ) #2 Provide Value over Viral content. Social media is something that is consistently changing and if you have the mind set of going viral is going to save your business you will fail. If you go in expecting something in return you’re going to fail. Social media is your opportunity to build your Brands Reputation, Authority , and community go in being yourself, don’t compromise your morals for anyone.
