Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?

My parents played a crucial role in shaping my educational path and instilling values of giving back to the community. Their support and guidance have clearly had a positive impact on my career as a business owner and my ability to positively influence students through tutoring. Helping students achieve their full potential and fostering their success in core subjects has always been of interest for me and working with children because of my passion and work ethic has always lead me to administrative duties in all work environment.

I remember time my father gave me some valuable advice during a time when I was feeling stressed about career aspirations. His words conveyed the idea that working for others temporarily can be a stepping stone toward achieving my own goals. Here’s a breakdown of the key points from his advice:

Working for Others Temporarily: my father suggests that working for other people is a temporary situation, likely serving as a means to gain experience, build skills, and establish a foundation for your future.

Head Start on Life and the American Dream: This implies that by working for others, you can get a head start in pursuing your American Dream. It’s a way to begin your journey towards success.

Becoming a Business Owner: The ultimate goal, according to my father, is to become a business owner. This status offers several advantages, such as the opportunity to lead and make important decisions.

Leading from the Front: As a business owner, you’d be at the forefront of your company, taking the lead in guiding your business. This implies being a proactive and influential leader.

Ensuring Employee Satisfaction: my father emphasizes the importance of making the right decisions to ensure that my employees enjoy their work. Being compassionate and considerate of my employees is crucial.

Opening Doors to New Opportunities: Becoming a business owner is seen as a gateway to more opportunities. It can lead to the ownership of multiple businesses and enable you to achieve various life goals, like paying off your home and more.

All in all, my father’s advice is centered around the idea that working for others can be a stepping stone to entrepreneurship, and being a business owner can provide me with a platform to lead, make a positive impact, and achieve my personal and financial aspirations. My experience in various roles, including teacher, curriculum support specialist, Exceptional Student Education Specialist, and Reading and Math Director, has led me to the creation of Meagan’s Academic Tutorial Center. Our center provides a comprehensive range of services, including one-on-one tutoring for students from kindergarten to grade 12, homework assistance, guidance in study and test-taking skills, and engaging seasonal camps during winter, spring, and summer. We also offer courses in coding, mindcrafting, and robotics.

Students who enroll at Meagan’s Academic Tutorial Center consistently experience remarkable progress, surpassing their potential in all academic subjects.

My resilience as a business owner is unwavering in the face of adversity. I firmly believe that my calling is to serve my community by providing tutoring services to children, helping them surpass their potential in all subjects. I am guided by the belief that I have been called, appointed, and anointed for this mission, and I am dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of the students I serve.

One significant moment when I had to pivot in my business was the decision to bring in highly qualified staff to ensure that our students were receiving the best possible education. We understood the importance of having certified, well-trained, and knowledgeable educators in all subject areas at Meagan’s Academic Tutorial Center to help our students excel beyond their potential.

This pivotal step led us to establish partnerships with prestigious universities and schools. Through these partnerships, we were able to access a pool of exceptional tutors and educators who were not only passionate about teaching but also highly skilled in their respective fields. This strategic move allowed us to deliver on our commitment to advance every child, across all subjects, to achieve their full potential in school.
