We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Linda Woods. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Linda below.
Linda, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I think symbolic art is a wonderful way to honor history and celebrate the lives of people who paved the way for you. To honor my grandparents, I created a collection of colorful Modern Judaic art.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I grew up in Northern California in a family of writers and storytellers. From a very early age, I knew I preferred to tell stories with colors, textures and shapes. I am inspired by everything from simple to complex. Every piece I create starts with a story. Within these stories are adventures, delight, awakenings, discoveries, family, cities, food, secret gardens…and sometimes grief, anger, and redemption.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I stared selling my art online in 2000, and started blogging from the very early Live Journal days. As the internet grew and social media platforms changed, I stuck to my one core rule: do not follow trends. You will never see me making videos of myself pointing at words, lip-synching to songs, or doing dance routines. That is just not me. I share my art in a way that is easy to see and without long captions nobody will read anyway. I want people to connect to my art, period.
For those just starting out, I would suggest ignoring anything the self appointed social media experts tell you to do. Don’t buy followers, don’t post things because you think it’s what will trick an algorithm. Share your art in a way that best represents YOU. Be consistent!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I love seeing my art make people happy!
