We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jaida Henderson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jaida below.
Jaida, appreciate you joining us today. Do you manage your own social media?
I am currently managed by Muse The Agency and it has been a game-changer in my content creator journey. I am able to pitch and higher rates when working with brands that my agency may have had previous connections with, I am invited to fun and insightful events, and even asked to do things like social media takeovers for brands.
My biggest insight to getting connected with management is to remain consistent and let your work speak for you. I really think that my agency chose me because they knew that I had potential for growth, and I was consistently posting the type of content that brands are looking for.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a college volleyball player, and health psychology master’s degree holder turned content creator. COVID-19 was one of the hardest times across our nation but I truly think that I found light in the situation by really learning more about myself, my passions, and what really made me happy. And I quickly found out that that was creating video content.
I graduated undergrad at the height of COVID-19, in May of 2020, and quickly went on to complete my master’s while also having the opportunity to play semi-professional volleyball in the U.K. later that August. In November of 202o, the U.K. went into a complete shutdown, and rather than staying on campus and completing my program I decided to take the virtual route and complete the next few months of my program back at home in North Carolina.
During this time I was also really into Youtube, and keeping up with my favorite influencers on TikTok and Instagram and finally decided that I also wanted to give myself the chance to have a voice, and share the things that I love and am often complemented on online.
I went from getting my first vlogging camera as a gift in December of 2020 to now taking on content creation full-time and constantly sharing content ranging from daily lifestyle, fashion, hair, beauty, and even food. I am currently creating content for brands and coming up with my own concepts and ideas that allow them to promote their own products.
I really think that my aesthetic and upbeat content is what will continue to set me apart and allows me to have continuous opportunities. I admire my consistency, and I have so much gratitude that it has brought me thus far.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I started off on TikTok posting 3 times a day, and I think that consistency is what truly allowed me to grow. Giving your audience an idea of who you are, and when to expect to see your content will continue to drive them to your page. The algorithms also really favor consistency, so sometimes it will award your consistency with a viral video. Which of course gives more views, likes, shares, and coverts to followers.
My TikTok growth really allowed me to cross-promote my other platforms by sharing videos are referring my audience to my YouTube for more, or to my Instagram for specific links.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect and truly what keeps me going is the feedback that I receive from my audience. That one message from someone letting you know that your video taught them something, or asking you for tips on how you specifically edited something that they enjoyed really lets me know that my work is worthwhile and that I’m in this field for a reason.
