We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jocelyn & Justine Wong. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jocelyn & Justine below.
Jocelyn & Justine , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
Seven years ago, our love for savoring great food and sharing those experiences with friends sparked the creation of our Instagram account @hangrydiary. This platform allowed us to vividly capture our culinary adventures and blend our passion for food with creativity.
The initial joy of documenting and relishing these experiences has only grown over time, inspiring us to continue. Every dish, every restaurant, and every flavor we encounter is an opportunity to share our enthusiasm with a wider audience.
Consistency is key to our approach. Maintaining a regular presence and offering genuine, honest insights allows us to build trust with our followers, who rely on our recommendations. This authenticity forms the core of our brand, ensuring that our audience can count on us for reliable glimpses into the world of gastronomy.

Jocelyn & Justine , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
For those who may not be familiar with us, we are Justine and Jocelyn, the creators behind our instagram.com/hangrydiary. Hailing from Hong Kong and later relocating to Los Angeles for our studies, our love for exceptional food and culinary exploration brought us to where we are today.
Our passion for savoring delectable food and experimenting with new recipes at home ignited the inception of @hangrydiary. Through our platform, we enthusiastically document our gastronomic adventures and engage with chefs to deepen our understanding of the art of cooking.
@hangrydiary is our creative outlet, allowing us to share our culinary journey, experiences, and knowledge with a wider audience. We believe in offering genuine and honest insights into the food we encounter, enabling our followers to make informed choices about where and what to eat.
Here are a few restaurants we love and hope our followers enjoy as much as we do: Hayato, Bistro Na’s, Camphor, Sea Harbour, Daybird, Republique.. and many more!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
We began our journey at a time when there weren’t many food influencers, but we’ve remained consistent in sharing our love for great food and learning from prominent figures in the food influencer community.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Hearing great feedback from our followers who also visit the restaurants we recommend!
