Do you have any stories of times when you almost missed payroll or any other near death experiences for your business?
When we started our business we were 4 CREATIVE individuals. And while passion and creativity are incredible assets to a business, the key to a business is to make money. So when it came to the numbers, we suffered initially. We didn’t take the time to find an alternative product that was the same quality and cheaper prices, and we didn’t set our pricing right. Eventually, we started to figure out how to have more of a business mindset and we were able to make that change. We learned how to cut down costs in making our products, and focused on numbers more to actually help us in making a profit. I now feel we have a nice harmony between passion, creativity, and business. :)
Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
We are an e-commerce store that uses Squarespace as its platform and I LOVE IT! It really makes the online shopping process so easy for not only us but for our customers as well. There are some limitations, but they are constantly upgrading their backend with new assets. I can’t praise Squarespace enough!
