Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Glenicia Neal. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Glenicia, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
To be successful it is important to remember that you are he expert at what you do. While there may be others in the same industry it is imperative to understand the customers that are meant for you will find you. I believe that success is highly individual and can take various forms. Some people want career success, personal fulfillment, financial prosperity, or just want to make a positive impact on society. What constitutes success varies from person to person, and the path to success may involve different combinations of these factors. Ultimately, success is a journey, and it’s essential to define what it means to you and take steps toward achieving your own version of success. I have been an entrepreneur since the age of 25 and every business that I have had involves helping people. I started in the field of cosmetology by helping women feel beautiful. Fast forward to my real estate career. I am still helping people but the purpose and mission to me is greater as they are making lifelong decisions to establish wealth through real estate.

Glenicia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a licensed realtor in the state of Georgia and while I love working with both buyers and sellers, first time home buyers are my absolute favorite. I believe it is important to remove all the fears out of such a major life event that can be quite scary. Paradigm Realty is my brokerage, however my brand is TreSavvy. Because I offer more than just real estate services I want people to know all that I do. I am an international sales agent selling new construction in the Dominican Republic, I am an interior designer. As an interior designer I have worked with spec home builders who would not normally have a design center like the larger new subdivisions may have but still need someone to work with their clients/buyers when choosing finishes and final touches. I work with homeowners by helping them re-imagine their existing spaces in a way they never thought was possible thus making them fall in love with their home all over again. Last but not least I also provide commercial funding for investors and developers. While it seems like a lot it is still all related real estate which gives me an edge. When one part of my business is slow my other areas of expertise fill the financial gap.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When I was 25 I opened my own hair salon. While I had no idea what I was doing I knew two things. One, I was good at doing hair and two, I would be successful. I did not get any type of loans to start my business. I bought $500.00 worth of used equipment to get me started. Some of the chairs had rips in them, some of the work station drawers had no knobs and nothing matched. The solution?, duck tape, use a screwdriver to open the drawers, and see beyond the colors. I was determined to not go into debt so as I worked and made money I slowly replaced all the equipment with new. Not all things that are beautiful started that way.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I would like to encourage anyone that has taken the Georgia real estate exam and failed, DON’T GIVE UP! It took me 4 attempts to pass. While I felt like giving up I was encouraged to keep going. I had not realized 2 years had gone by, but I am glad I didn’t give up because I absolutely love what I do.
