We were lucky to catch up with Sierra Smith recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sierra, thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Whew lol that’s a good one. I think lots of patience and remembering to remain consistent and authentic. You have to be able to enjoy the journey. Nothing happens overnight. You have to lose some to win some. I know LOL. I’ve had to rebrand and truly step into my purpose and what felt genuinely right for me.

Sierra, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Sierra smith and I am the owner/ founder of Luxx Life. I am a self taught media creative. I have a background in photography and videography, graphic design and much more. I enjoy creating personal content and also branding for other creatives and businesses. I started a business by the name of Luxx Life Beauty which was originally an online beauty supply store. In 2022 I ended up closing that business and rebranded into Luxx Life The Brand where as I brand and design for creatives and future entrepreneurs. Luxx is Latin for “light” so I believe everyone should be a light and lead. We all have a purpose here and you should tap into that light. I also specialize in celebrity art concepts and I’ve gained traction from a few celebs such as Saweetie, Kash Doll and NicholeLynel to name a few. I enjoy it because it feels like second nature. Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?

Yes try to utilize as many free apps and softwares as possible. Once things begin to flow then you can upgrade but you don’t want to spend so much money on things until your capital begins to grow. There are many free business resources out there! Also try to focus on your own lane and timing. You’ll begin to see yourself grow over time and you’ll be so happy with how far you’ve come.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Being authentic in my work. Knowing what I produce doesn’t look like anything else you’ve seen and being able to deliver exactly what your client desires is fulfilling. It’s easy to follow trends but when ppl see that you’re different and you bring something different to the table it’ll create longevity.
