We recently connected with Jaae and have shared our conversation below.

Jaae, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I knew i wanted to pursue music since a very young age. I use to watch all the legends like Michael Jackson, and Bobby brown on tv when i was young and always knew i wanted to be exactly where they were. I secretly sang in private and then started to branch out as i got into middle school. I then started writing music when i got to high school.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is Jaae and i started off in the entertainment industry as a dancer. This was how i figured i would break into the music industry and a recording artist. I’m Not sure why i thought this but i did lol. I am a singer and songwriter and have worked with some major and up and coming artist. When i was dancing i would teach dance to the youth for non profit programs in nyc. I write songs for anybody interested. I actually once was contacted by a father to write and sing a birthday song for his 7 year old song. I’m am most proud of the hard work that i have put in over the year, from the smallest to the largest i now understand that it’s a process.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?

I believe that we need more programs that can help Artist explore their creativity. We don’t have as many programs anymore. I also this that the industry gatekeepers need to not gate keep anymore and allow people to reach them and other label and industry opportunities because it is almost impossible to break into the industry because gatekeeper who still have this dictator mentality keep the door closed.

I like nfts, I’m not so sure how they truthfully work or how they would be profitable in the long run but I’m here for the new technology to make profits.
